Syrian regime brings violence and chaos
After the takeover of Raqqa through the Syrian regime the martyrs cemetary of the city has been devastated. Day by day the graves of the martyrs, that gave their life for the liberation of Raqqa from ISIS, get destroyed and even the bodies of the martyrs are taken out of the graves. With this cruel act the jihadists try to erase the history of the fight against ISIS.
Lootings in Sheikh Maqsoud
In the districts of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiye, as well as Afrin, which was occupied by Turkey in 2018, the people face the violence of the jihadists. While a lot of families try to return to their homes, already hundreds of people got arested, abducted or killed. Today another home of a Kurdish family in Sheikh Maqsoud was raided and looted by armed men.
Worse living conditions
In the Arabic city of Deir ez-Zor today oil wells were set on fire. Tensions between different factions of the jihadist gangs are leading to fightings about the distribution of oil. While SDF atopted the method of sharing the oil revenues beween the different Arab Tribes, apparently the politics of HTS are different: they are attempting to monopolize all oil income. Some secret jihadist cells killed the governor of the city, affiliated with HTS.
HTS and Asayish go to airport Qamishlo
Today the Asayish forces and a delegation of the Syrian transitional government had a meeting to Qamishlo’s airport about the assessment of the administrative, technical, and security-related operations at the airport and to clarify future forms of cooperation.
Israeli escalation in Quneitra
Israeli forces fired artillery shells from the Golan towards Quneitra countryside, causing explosions to be heard in several areas.
Iran’s regime executed 13 people
The Iranian human rights organization HRANA reported that 13 people have been executed just today in various prisons across Iran. The prisoners that were excuted were convicted after trials for drug trafficking and murder. The reports indicate that those executed were convicted after trials conducted by the regime on charges of “drug trafficking” and “murder. HRANA explained that between January 1, 2025, and January 1, 2026, at least 2,063 people were executed.
