The Kurdish freedom guerrillas have undergone an intensive process of change in order to overcome the power imbalance in the war. In the last two months, air strikes by the guerrillas have had a major shock effect on the Turkish army.
Technological developments have radically changed people’s lives as well as the definitions and strategies of war. The technological breakthrough that began in Europe with the industrial revolution has reached unimaginable dimensions today and changed the basis of the military formations of states.
In the Second World War, the reason for the carnage and destruction was the actual use of developing technology. All states and powers felt compelled to keep pace with technological development and supply the corresponding products. The hegemonic powers recognized technology as the strongest weapon and used the forces under their control to these developments in order to liquidate freedom movements. On this basis, they have opened up opportunities for the Turkish state, which they have controlled since its foundation, and made it use them to the full. NATO is the biggest supporter of the Turkish state in this regard and determines its strategies. At the same time, it has been doing its best for years to destroy the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla, which is fighting with scarce resources.
In the last two months, guerrilla air strikes have had a great shock effect on the Turkish army. The fact that the technical base cannot be detected and is used with a high hit rate despite air surveillance by the occupying army is another important factor that increases the guerrillas’ capabilities in defensive warfare.
Technological developments have had their greatest impact in the military field. If the Kurdish freedom movement and guerrillas have been able to withstand the unimaginable scale of the annihilation attacks by the Turkish occupiers and continue to develop to this day, it is thanks to their efforts to move with the times and continue the liberation struggle in an innovative style, especially since 2000. The innovative steps it has taken despite its limited resources, especially in the field of science and technology, make the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla unique.
With the support of NATO, the Turkish state has completely geared its army towards modern technology and based its strategy on air strikes. With this strategy, the army has achieved the worst result in the history of the war against the guerrillas. The Turkish state is heading step by step towards a strategic abyss.
The technical elements and technological developments that are used in the hands of the arms monopolies for major destruction and destruction concepts can now also be used by the guerrillas. This has created an equalizing situation in war. Fighting with unmanned aerial vehicles [drones] corresponds to the concept of war in modern times. The guerrillas have increased their development curve in airspace as much as possible and made major breakthroughs with scarce resources. Their air defense system and their ability to strike from the air have changed the war and scared the Turkish army.
In recent years, the army has made several strategic and tactical changes to prevent the guerrillas from developing further. It has achieved the opposite. The Kurdish freedom guerrillas have undergone an intensive process of change in order to overcome the power imbalance in the war. This change has achieved great results. The Turkish state has focused its tactics on changing the guerrillas. The Turkish army responded to the increasing combat capability and professionalism of the guerrillas by increasing its technical strength and deploying it disproportionately in the field. Today, there is a guerrilla that develops in the field of science and technology, creates a balance in the war with the weapons it has developed against air elements and carries out effective actions by reducing the risk of loss to zero. This puts the Turkish occupation forces in a tactical blockade.
